The Art Of Creative Design Photography

Garage-SaleWhen it comes to creative design, we aren’t talking about point and click photography. We are talking about something special. When you call Doug with an idea or concept you get his creative juices flowing. Creative design photography isn’t about simply taking a photograph. It is about developing a concept, fabricating a creation, imagining and customizing an idea, and bringing it to fruition: that’s the art of creative design photography.

Fabricating a Creation

When we say that creative design is about fabricating a creation we are speaking literally. Doug has created sculptures, models, and dioramas with an idea and his imagination (and of course a few other things). Whether you work side-by-side developing your concept with Doug, or simply rely on his unleashed talents, whether you want to be involved in the step-by-step process or be surprised, Doug will blow you away with his creativity and imagination.

Incorporating Your Vision

Doug will incorporate your vision with each and every decision he makes while developing your concept. Creating the work of art is only the first step (and of course, one of Doug’s favorite steps!). Some of the things he will consider when creating a piece (such as a diorama or model) are:

  • Size
  • Texture
  • Color

Once it is created it is time to photograph it. Some of the things he will consider then include:

  • Tone
  • Mood
  • Color
  • Lighting
  • Angle
  • Focus

Special effects are created depending on the decisions Doug makes regarding all of the above. Only a professional photographer with years of experience understands the various effects of each and everyone separately and combined. That’s why if you need a photographer with artistic skills, creativity, imagination, with an excellent work ethic, and who can deliver what you need in a timely manner, you should give Doug Davis a call at D2 Studios.
