What A Professional Knows That You Don’t
Lighting is an extremely important factor when taking exterior pictures of anything, but especially of real estate. There are several things to be aware of when capturing the perfect image.
Time of Day: Early or late day are the best times to photograph real estate because of the lighting. Many professionals rely upon Google Maps and Google Earth which can help them determine the best time of day to shoot. Having an idea whether the house faces the sunset, sunrise, or neither can be extremely helpful.
Time of Year: During the winter, houses facing south may never have the sun hitting the front, which means you will need to find the right angle to avoid shooting into the sun.
Overcast Skies: One advantage of overcast skies is that issues with the sun are eliminated. However, expect the photographic impact to be reduced.
