#1: Bottle or glass: If the drink is going to be presented in a clear bottle or glass, the glass should complement the beverage. A specialized glass with an interesting shape can help add visual interest.
#2: Cold and hot beverages: Selling a cold drink on a hot day can be easy by presenting the glass with ice crystals or condensation. Putting the glass in a freezer for five minutes or wetting it and storing it in the fridge will give the effect you want. For hot beverages, capturing the steaminess is key.
#3: Backlighting: By placing the subject between the light source and camera, the light will shine through the clear bottle or glass and illuminate the liquid, the condensation, and even the bubbles, giving it a mouthwatering effect.
#4: Accents: Beverages are usually rather non-descript, but creating an appetizing image is as easy as adding a few bright accents to make your subject pop (pardon the pun)!
#5: Salt in your beer: Here is an interesting little tidbit. Did you know that putting salt in beer creates bubbles? Adding more bubbles adds visual interest and texture to a glass of beer and is done by simply sprinkling table salt evenly throughout the beverage for a natural look.
